“ Dined in twice here and I can confirm, this is now, one of my top rated authentic Japanese ramen shop! You cannot find this type of signature ramen anywhere else around here. The noodles that they make are very unique in texture and flavor. Their signature Kitakata ramen is so good. The soy sauce based broth is on the light side, not heavy at all, paired so well with the bouncy-chewy noodles and tender chashu/pork. Have also tried their Tan Tan ramen and it's also very good, an even heavier broth, but a different experience with their curly noodle. Service is always on point, friendly staffs, attentive, fast service. You usually have to reserve seating on the kiosk, in the entrance. Bar seating is usually available for a party of 2 or single dine-in. ”

“ Second time coming here. The ramen is affordable and tasty!The workers are welcoming. The meat melts in my mouth and the broth is rich too. Added some ingredients and they were fresh. Def will come back again when I am around this area. ”

“ The last time I was at this superb ramen “chain” was before the pandemic. And I should make it here more often but its in suburbia. Nonetheless, what I luv about this place is the staff and its warm and welcoming atmosphere. Their ramen is some of the best in all Chicagoland. Starting with a pork belly bao (chashu bun) was wonderful. Fatty, crispy and sweet teryaki porkbelly in a soft & chewy bao bun was perfect beginning. Followed this up with a juicy fried chicken bowl with rice and special dipping sauce. The fried chicken was similar to karrage. Their ramen here is exceptional from the porky broth, the great chew on their noodles, the fatty and flavorful pork squares (chashu) and vegetables; makes for a great meal. The spicy miso has a good amount of heat, its got bite so might want to have spice on the side. The umakara tan tan ramen was also very good with a seasoned egg added. The spice was put on the side so could enjoy the broth a bit more. Still a wonderful experience from what I recall almost 6 years ago. They continue to provide superior food and service even after so many years!! ”

“ Every time I come, there is a wait. But the wait is well worth it. The quality of the noodles and broth, truly a taste of Japan. The staff is fast, efficient, polite. Everything I come here, I tend to get a side of either Takoyaki or Karaage as I love both these dishes. If you can’t finish, take out is available. And the most important part, customizing the toppings to your taste. I recommend the red ginger or Benishoga for a little kick as well as the miso egg or soft boil egg. Extra scallions and if you like a citrus, the yuzu paste. This is one of my go to ramen shops. ”

“ Our new findings. Comfortable seating and attentive services. Soft and chewy Raman is slightly thicker and bigger than most of others. Clean and flavorful broth with mild chashu on point. Al dente edamame, Gyoza and soft boiled egg were good. One of the best juicy fried chicken served pipping hot. Their takeout comes with warm up directions. Their dumpling chashu Raman only serve on the weekend . Highly recommended. ”
